SUNEETA RAO MAKES HER OFF-BROADWAY DEBUT ! (2005)

In March, Suneeta played the lead role of Mala, in the new musical “SIDD”, based on the Hermann Hesse novel, “Siddhartha”! Cast opposite her was Manu Narayan, the leading man of “Bombay Dreams”.

Presented by the Manhattan Source Theatre, this was a concert reading, held at the prestigious Symphony Space Theatre on 95th and Broadway.

The show opened to a warm and thunderous applause, and everyone in the audience was struck by this new girl from India with her subtle Indian intonations and passionate portrayal of the seductress, Mala.

With a completely original music score, this promises to be a tremendous entry on the musical theatre scene – and Suneeta looks forward to working in the international arena by going back to her roots – the stage.
